Back again

Okay, I lost track. After the 2nd week I didn't lose any weight then a sudden change of my work schedule which made it hard for me to do the 8-hour diet... But, I'm back on track. I checked in this morning and I didn't lose or gain any weight. Hurray!

After my first week on the 8-hour diet

Today marks the end of my 1st week on the 8-hour diet and the beginning of my 2nd week. So far I lost 2 kilos. I am very happy with the result and I am looking forward to my 2nd week on this diet.  Here's what I experienced with the diet.

It's very easy. I guess it really depends on your lifestyle. For my type of lifestyle, the 8-hour diet is very easy. I start eating at 10am and my 8-hour window ends at 6pm. I still eat 3 meals a day but for my lunch sometimes it's half a meal 'cos I still feel full.

Losing weight requires a lifestyle change and this diet I believe I can do for a really long time and not feel like I'm on a diet. My goal really is to reach my target weight then will try to maintain it doing the diet 3 or 4 days a week only.  Well, it's too early to say but I am really hopeful. The HCG diet made me lose weight really fast but I couldn't stand it and was looking forward to END it. This diet is so different. I actually enjoy being on this diet because I feel great! I don't feel bloated in the morning yehey!

I did not take even 1 pill of Metformin and I'm still losing weight. Yehey!

I somehow discovered that drinking plenty of water helps me lose more weight the next day. Somewhat similar with my experience on HCG. Not bad, it's really hot here now so I have no choice but to drink plenty of water.

Will post again after a week. I am looking forward to losing another 2 kilos if possible. :) But, if I'd only lose 1 kilo I don't mind.

The 8-hour diet

Hello, I'm back! Since the last time I blogged here, I actually gained all the weight back plus some more! Yup yup!  I am not proud of it. In fact, it upsets me a lot but then I already accepted it. Being polycystic is really hard especially because I just can't handle the effects of Metformin in my body. I don't like taking it and when I stopped that's when I gained all the weight back.

So, I read about this 8-hour diet and became very interested with it. I thought there's no harm in testing it out myself so I did. I started the 8-hour diet yesterday. I didn't read the book though but I just grasp the concept. You can practically eat normally for 8 hours and don't eat anything or drink anything with calories for the remaining 16 hours. I thought this is the right diet for me since I usually sleep for long hours and I don't mind waiting for my meal. I will not reveal my weight here but I'll just post updates on how much weight I lost. If I can lose weight with this I will try to do this for long-term.

This morning I felt really good. I don't feel bloated anymore which is a great thing. I've been feeling bloated most days especially when I get to drink too much water. It's summer here in my place and it gets really hot so I drink a lot of really cold fruit juices. Now I minimize that and just enjoy my very cold water.

For the first day on this diet I can feel that this is the easiest diet out there (if it works). I was told though that you shouldn't let your body be in starvation mode or fasting mode as it sets your body to stack in more weight as it won't release the fat. I think that's also the reason why it said that before you start your 8-hour routine you need to do a bit of exercise to activate the fat. I think that's their solution in telling the body that it needs to release the fat deposits. So I did a bit of dancing this morning and hope that it was enough to activate my fat cells.

Let's wait and see. I prefer to blog about this so I would actually motivate myself to keep on doing this (if it works) and once it works, I would recommend it to all my readers (if there are any).
