3rd round 8 days before the end

So just a quick update. I am on my 3rd round now and I am using the HCG pellets this time. I must say my 2nd round was quite unsuccessful because I was using the drops and I tried to minimize the amount of drops to use because I didn't have the budget to buy more and it turned out to be a big mistake. Argh!

Anyway, as of the moment I lost over 20 lbs doing the protocol. In total this year I lost 27 lbs but that includes those I lost before the HCG.

Not bad at all and I know I can lose more. HCG really works! :)

Phase 2 Round 1 DONE!

So I'm done with my phase 2 round 1 and I lost 12 lbs. Not much but I'm so happy with it. I do cheat and I don't follow the protocol exactly but I don't want to get burned out and not want to do another round so I'll take the 12 lbs I've lost because I can do this over and over again and not feel bad about it. September 1 I'd start with my round 2 so I'm excited. For that time I hope I could lose at least 8 lbs on round 2. I'm in no hurry and I lower my expectations because I don't mind. I'd do round 3 after 6 weeks from round 2 anyway ;)

For Phase 3 my goal is to still have reduced calories of around 1200 calories or less with more on protein and fruits. Then I plan on building some muscles a bit. This morning I weighed and actually lost half a pound which I am quite happy with. Hoping to lose 2 lbs on phase 3. If I can lose even more then that's going to be super! :)

Back on HCG again

So after all the failures of trying to lose weight the past year I decided to go back to doing the HCG diet again. This time I came in well prepared and I want to do 2 rounds of the diet and will maintain my weight. If I get to gain 10 lbs from my last day weight I will do the HCG diet again over and over.

I failed to maintain my weight because my sister convinced us that if we do HCG it will kill us. Of course she was endorsing her product which costs a lot of money (over $1,000!!!) and I can't afford it. Thing is, after she did the weight loss program she practically gained everything back anyway! With HCG I haven't heard of anybody dying from it and I don't see any harm when I tried it so I stopped listening to her.

I am now on my day 8 of the phase 2 of this diet. So far I lost almost 8 lbs! I am hoping to lose another 10 lbs on this round which is highly feasible. I plan to keep on losing some weight on phase 3 then aafter that I will immediately go back to another round of HCG and that's it for me.

Here's what I do that makes this diet a lot more enjoyable.

1) I am not that hard on myself. When I get to cheat, I don't let it make me feel bad. But when I say cheating it means biting just a half a mouthful of something not eating the entire thing. Last time they cooked spaghetti here I craved for it so I took a bite and I moved on. I still lost weight the next day. Every now and then I eat some squash seeds. Turns out they contain about 1 calorie per seed so I count my calories and I don't go over 30 seeds a day so I move on and not worry about it. In the morning I still get to lose weight anyway.

2) Shirataki noodles! I can't explain how important this is to my diet as in!!! I consume 1 pack of shirataki noodles a day. I mix it up with my meals or I cut it to small bits and make it as my rice! Awesome! By tomorrow I will be preparing my spaghetti for lunch and that would fill me up well for the whole day. Awesome!

3) Walden Farms products!!! They are awesome. You gotta buy their products and this diet will not feel so hard anymore. I love their thousand island dressing sooooo gooood!!! All their products are zero calories! You can order chocolate syrup, caramel dips and others if you want. Unfortunately the products available here are limited so I only got the spread, the salad dressing and the garlic and herb pasta sauce. The pasta sauce garlic and herb is quite bland though.

4) Soya sticks! They taste so good dipped in my strawberry spread!

5) Hot choco! Yup, every now and then I drink my hot choco. Why? because I use unsweetened cocoa and I checked the calories and 1 tbsp has about 30 calories only! I use just about a teaspoon of the cocoa for my hot choco then use sweetener and that's it!!! Gets rid of my choco cravings right away.

5) Dinnertime I get a huge bowl of lettuce and mix in 100grams of super lean beef cooked with some spices and I put in the dressing. It's a salad party I tell you!

6) I am not strict with the 1 cup veggies as I try to go over that since I read you can go a little over since it has few calories (except tomatoes) so I fill myself up with the veggies.

So yeah, I know this diet will work well for me and I don't mind doing this over and over again because this time I came so well prepared and this diet doesn't feel like a real diet at all. This feels sooo much better than the previous rounds I had and from this round forth it would be much easier for me.

Back again

Okay, I lost track. After the 2nd week I didn't lose any weight then a sudden change of my work schedule which made it hard for me to do the 8-hour diet... But, I'm back on track. I checked in this morning and I didn't lose or gain any weight. Hurray!

After my first week on the 8-hour diet

Today marks the end of my 1st week on the 8-hour diet and the beginning of my 2nd week. So far I lost 2 kilos. I am very happy with the result and I am looking forward to my 2nd week on this diet.  Here's what I experienced with the diet.

It's very easy. I guess it really depends on your lifestyle. For my type of lifestyle, the 8-hour diet is very easy. I start eating at 10am and my 8-hour window ends at 6pm. I still eat 3 meals a day but for my lunch sometimes it's half a meal 'cos I still feel full.

Losing weight requires a lifestyle change and this diet I believe I can do for a really long time and not feel like I'm on a diet. My goal really is to reach my target weight then will try to maintain it doing the diet 3 or 4 days a week only.  Well, it's too early to say but I am really hopeful. The HCG diet made me lose weight really fast but I couldn't stand it and was looking forward to END it. This diet is so different. I actually enjoy being on this diet because I feel great! I don't feel bloated in the morning yehey!

I did not take even 1 pill of Metformin and I'm still losing weight. Yehey!

I somehow discovered that drinking plenty of water helps me lose more weight the next day. Somewhat similar with my experience on HCG. Not bad, it's really hot here now so I have no choice but to drink plenty of water.

Will post again after a week. I am looking forward to losing another 2 kilos if possible. :) But, if I'd only lose 1 kilo I don't mind.

The 8-hour diet

Hello, I'm back! Since the last time I blogged here, I actually gained all the weight back plus some more! Yup yup!  I am not proud of it. In fact, it upsets me a lot but then I already accepted it. Being polycystic is really hard especially because I just can't handle the effects of Metformin in my body. I don't like taking it and when I stopped that's when I gained all the weight back.

So, I read about this 8-hour diet and became very interested with it. I thought there's no harm in testing it out myself so I did. I started the 8-hour diet yesterday. I didn't read the book though but I just grasp the concept. You can practically eat normally for 8 hours and don't eat anything or drink anything with calories for the remaining 16 hours. I thought this is the right diet for me since I usually sleep for long hours and I don't mind waiting for my meal. I will not reveal my weight here but I'll just post updates on how much weight I lost. If I can lose weight with this I will try to do this for long-term.

This morning I felt really good. I don't feel bloated anymore which is a great thing. I've been feeling bloated most days especially when I get to drink too much water. It's summer here in my place and it gets really hot so I drink a lot of really cold fruit juices. Now I minimize that and just enjoy my very cold water.

For the first day on this diet I can feel that this is the easiest diet out there (if it works). I was told though that you shouldn't let your body be in starvation mode or fasting mode as it sets your body to stack in more weight as it won't release the fat. I think that's also the reason why it said that before you start your 8-hour routine you need to do a bit of exercise to activate the fat. I think that's their solution in telling the body that it needs to release the fat deposits. So I did a bit of dancing this morning and hope that it was enough to activate my fat cells.

Let's wait and see. I prefer to blog about this so I would actually motivate myself to keep on doing this (if it works) and once it works, I would recommend it to all my readers (if there are any).

Will start again soon ;)

Okay so I really felt bad about my decision to quit the last time. I am still able to maintain my weight though which is something I'm very happy about but I have decided to do my 2nd round of HCG the right way and I will start on Nov. 19 and 20 for phase 1 and VLCD on 21st. My bday is on the 20th so I want to enjoy eating on that day before I start the VLCD. I hope I will be more prepared this time. Will do my best not to ever cheat on this diet and hopefully it will work out great for me.
